Marilyn S. Farrell, Certified
Public Accountant since 1988, maintains offices in the Regency Lake Office
Building on Jones Road in Northwest Houston. A native of Louisiana, she
holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University.
Marilyn believes in providing
friendly, personal service to her clients as well as taking the time to
answer questions pertaining to the ever-changing tax and accounting
regulations.
Since 1972, she has worked with small
businesses including retail, service, construction and not-for-profit
entities. She provides traditional accounting services such as monthly,
quarterly and annual transaction write-ups, tax filings, compilation and
review reports on financial statements for individuals, sole
proprietorships, partnership, corporation, estates and non-profit
organizations. She assists clients with choice of entity, buy/sell and
lease/buy decisions, analyzing property settlements in divorce
proceedings, tax planning, corporate dissolutions, conversions to/from
corporate status, tax-free exchanges, subchapter 'S' elections and
representation before the Internal Revenue Service.
Marilyn is licensed by the Texas Sate
Board of Public Accountancy. She is a member of the American Society of
Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of CPA's, Houston CPA Society, Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce, Cy-Fair Women's Network,
Northwest Houston Business & Professional Women, civic association and
church boards. She also currently serves on the board of directors of
Woman, Inc, an organization providing transitional housing for victims of
abuse. She was a recipient of the 1994 Federation of Houston Professional
Women "Woman of Excellence" award as honoree from Cy-Fair Women's Network.
Along with her husband and children,
Marilyn has resided in Texas for over 30 years. |
